Morkie Birthday Card

 Hello Crafty Friends!

This card is for my sister for her birthday.  During the summer we each adopted a Morkie puppy from the same litter.  She has the little boy named Harley and I have the little girl named Poppy.
I couldn't resist making her a card using a digi image that looks like her little guy.

This is also my DT card from Crafty Hazel Nut's Pattern Paper challenge,  If you are like me and enjoy mixing and matching pattern papers, then you should enter the challenge.  The theme is always Anything Goes with Pattern Paper.

Flower Girl

Hello Crafty Friends!

June! I can't believe it's June already!
Since June is typically the month for weddings, I decided to use this image from Mo's Digital Pencil for my project.
I colored her in old golds and yellows for a more vintage look.

This is my DT project for  Crafty Hazel Nut's Pattern Paper challenge
The theme is always Anything Goes with Pattern Paper.
I hope you join us for the challenge and I can't wait to see what you create.

Coal from Mo's Digital Pencil

Happy Holidays Crafty Friends!

Have you mailed your Christmas cards yet?  Yesterday was the deadline I set for myself for mailing my card.  Whew!  now I can concentrate on gift tags, baking and holiday parties.

Today starts the new challenge at Crafty Hazelnut's Pattern Paper challenge.  The theme is always Anything Goes as long as you use pattern paper.

When I saw this image at Mo's Digital pencil, I just couldn't help laughing.  I think we all know a person or two that figures a year of fun is worth a little coal.

Nuts About You Anniversary Card

Hello Crafty Friends!

Can you believe it is already October?  It's time for a new challenge at Crafty Hazel Nut's Pattern Paper Challenge.  The theme is always Anything goes as long as you use pattern paper.

I don't know about you but fall is my favorite time of year.  I enjoy everything about the season.  In fact, I love it so much that 28 years ago I decided to marry the man of my dreams on a beautiful fall day.
After 28 years of making him cards (yes, I have been making him cards our entire married life) it gets a little difficult to come up with new ideas and ways to say how much I love him.  This year I decided to use  the Nuts about You Woodland Fox stamp set from Polkadoodles.  I decided to finallytake the reveal wheel die set and matching stamps from Lawn Fawn out of their packages too.  I bought them back in July while on vacation.

Super Hero Edwin

Hello Crafty Friends!

Happy May Day!  When I was growing up May Day was a fun celebration.  We would make May baskets and secretly leave them on people's doorsteps.  I thought it was so much fun to sneak around the neighborhood leaving  our baskets at our friend's houses.

Today starts a new challenge at Crafty Hazel Nut's Pattern Paper Challenge.  The theme is always Anything Goes as long as you use pattern paper.  For my card I used Super Hero Edwin and created a card for a special little boy turning 4.  He is fascinated with super heroes so this was perfect for him

Oops! Belated birthday Card

Hello Crafty Friends!

Wow, January flew by in a swirl of snow and ice!  I can hardly believe it is already February 1st!  Which means it is time for another challenge at Crafty Hazel Nut's Pattern Paper Challenge
Mixing and matching pattern papers is one of my favorite things to do with my cards.  It provides some interest and you don't need a ton of embellishments to make the card fabulous.
I made this card to give to a friend as a belated birthday card.  I didn't forget her birthday, I just didn't get the card made in time.

Happy New Year crafty friends!

It's a new year, new month and time for a new pattern paper challenge at Crafty Hazel Nut's Pattern Paper challenge.  The theme is always anything goes as long as you use pattern paper.
For my project, I made a scrapbook page to fit inside an 8x10 frame.  This is actually part of the Christmas gift we gave to my nephew and his family for Christmas.  We wanted to do more experience type gifts this year so we gave them a family membership to the Kansas City Zoo.  I can't wait to see pictures of their trips to see the animals.

Summer Fun

We are in the midst of a heat wave here.  The temps have been in the upper 90's with a heat index of over 100 degrees.  Of course that simply means I have a reason to stay in my craft room where it is air conditioned.
This is my project for The Crafty Hazel Nut's Pattern Paper challenge.  The theme is always anything goes as long as you use pattern paper.  I made this card for a friend who loves the sun and hot temperatures.

Train Dominoes Card

I was stumped this year on what kind of card to make for my brother-in-law's birthday.  I was tired of making the fart joke cards so I came up with this idea.  We like to get together with several other couples for game nights.  My brother-in-law likes train dominoes so I decided to make his card featuring that game.
I printed out dominoes that I found online and then arranged them so that they added up to his age (53)

Here is the inside of the card.  My husband helped me with the sentiment.

Magical Day

Happy New Year!!
It's hard to believe that it is already 2018.  I hope this year brings you joy, happiness, good health and lots of love.

I am happy to announce that this is my very first DT project for

The challenges are always Anything Goes as long as you use pattern paper.
I used 2 pattern papers for this challenge that have been in my paper stash for a long time.  It's always nice to use up supplies you already own. I kept this card simple and free of embellishments since I made it for my Brother-in-law's birthday.  Masculine cards can be a challenge.
