Copic Coloring Lesson

I gave my Sister-in-law and my niece a quick introduction to Copics last week.
My SIL creates beautiful zentangle projects, quilts and many more.  My niece, who is 10 years old, is very creative and crafty too. She recently led a class teaching others how to make things with the rainbow loom rubber bands.
We had a fabulous time and their projects turned out beautiful.  Next time we get together they will have to teach me one of their crafting projects.

It's a new challenge at ScrapbookerPhD!

This time we want to see some TEXTURE on your project.

Snow tex around the pond
Crackle accents to give the pond a glassy look just like ice on a pond
White embossing enamel for falling snow

Don't forget to link up your project to the challenge blog. I can't wait to see what mediums you use for texture.

Got You...

Today starts another challenge at Aud Sentiments
The challenge is to use a Two Word Sentiment.  That's it!  So it's basically an anything goes challenge as long as you add two little words.  What will your two words be?
I used this fabulous image from our sponsor, Delicious Doodles, and decided it would be perfect for an anniversary card.
Here's the inside of the card.  I debated whether or not I should color in the worm on the hook but decided to leave the sentiment black and white.  I can always go back later and add some color it I want.

Project Details:
Image: Seahorses from Delicious Doodles
Coral, fish and seahorse diecuts from Paper Doll Dress Up Cricut cartridge
Fiskars embossing plate
Copics: BG10, BG70, V12, V15, V17, YG03, YG11, YR65, YR09, YR04, RV13, RV11
Inside Sentiment: I can't remember where I found this.  If you recognize, let me know so I can give credit.

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day!
This is the card I made for my husband.  I kept it very clean and simple for him.
I chose this image from Bugaboo stamps because of what happened to my husband the other day.
My hubby and son decided to take our Mustang out for a drive to Dairy Queen.  My husband has owned the mustang since before we were married but it has been in storage most of that time.  We decided to get it out and running so we could enjoy it more.  When they got home my husband said he couldn't believe how many people honked, waved, followed them and stopped to chat about the car. I was wondering why a 20 minute trip to DQ to over 1 1/2 hours! Geez!  Anyway, I figured my hubby probably received several looks from other drivers just like this guy.
Happy Father's Day, honey!

My First Zentangle

I decided to try a little Zentangling (is that a word?)  Zentangle is a popular new way to doodle.  It is supposed to be relaxing.  I found it frustrating.  My sister in law makes beautiful Zentangle projects.  She even has some for sale in her etsy shop,  The Purple O.  She is taking a little break for summer to spend time with her kids.
Anyway, it was frustrating for me because even though I know it's not supposed to be perfect, I do not have a steady hand for doodling.  I am sharing my first try, mistakes and imperfections included.
