Science Geek from Polkadoodles

Hello Crafty Friends

It's Tuesday so that means a new challenge starts at Digi Choosday!
The challenge theme is always anything goes but the DT is given a theme to use.  This time we were given the theme of Recycle.  So for my project I saved a 2 liter pop bottle from one of our holiday parties.  I filled the inside with fun treats and a little surprise gift for someone special. Besides the pop bottle, my other recycle items are the green ribbon and the shredded paper for the inside stuffing.

A peek at the top of the bottle

A few of the treats that I stuffed inside the bottle

The shredded paper was made from recycled paper.  How fun!

Teddy Bo & Co Football player

Hello Crafty Friends!

Are yo a football fan?  I do not watch football but many of my family and friends follow the Kansas City Chiefs.  The Chiefs are playing the Patriots today in the championship game to see who will go to the Super Bowl.  My husband is not a football fan either but he thinks the super bowl is just a way to have a party and eat his favorite snacks!
To honor the chiefs, I colored this adorable TeddyBo & Co digi stamp in the colors of the chiefs uniforms.  We sent these to a couple of avid Chiefs fans as their thank you card for Christmas presents.

Card Details:
Digi: Teddy Bo & Co
Copics
Spellbinders scalloped hearts die
Martha Stewart button paper punch

Frozen Tilda Winter Card

Hello Crafty Friends!

We received 6 inches of snow this weekend.  It looked like a winter wonderland for all of a couple of hours.  Then my husband plowed the driveway and our black lab had fun running, playing and digging in the snow to find all her treasures she stashes around the yard.

Anyway, it was perfect timing for this month's Addicted To Stamps Challenge theme of Snowmen.

A peek at the inside of the card:

Polkadoodles Love And Kisses Vase

Hello Crafty Friends!

Are you ready to craft in 2019? I have to keep reminding myself it is now 2019.  The years just seem to go by faster as I get older.  I remember as a child I wished most of my life away.  I always wanted to be just a bit older so I could see a R rated movie, drive a car, have a drink legally, etc..

As I ponder how fast the years have gone, it seems appropriate that the Digi Choosday DT was challenged to create a birthday card for our current challenge.  Of course the theme is always Anything Goes for our challenge participants.

For my card I wanted to do something a little different and color an image that wasn't of a person.  I pulled out this gorgeous vase of flowers from the Love and Kisses bundle.  That bundle has so many extras to choose from that we could make cards all year long and not have duplicates.

Card Details:
Vase and Flowers: Love and Kisses Collection

Wreath Christmas Card

Hello Crafty Friends!

Are you ready to start making your Christmas cards for 2019?

I know it seems ridiculously early but it's never too early to start.  Christmas always seems to creep up on us so getting an early start avoids the stress and late nights later in November and December.

This is my first card as a DT member for the ABC Christmas Challenge.  The theme for this time is A: Anything Goes or B: Berries.  I chose to use berries and make this simple card. I decided that I really need to focus my efforts on the cards that need to be mailed. Thus I need to make more cards that aren't as bulky and take less postage to mail.  So with that in mind, this card is 4.25x5.5 and is flat.  I have plenty of cards that can be hand delivered to family and friends at holiday functions so those cards can have all the bulky embellishments and be larger square cards.

Card Details:
Martha Stewart branch punch for the wreath
Spellbinders bow die
Merry Christmas clear sentiment stamp

Zoo Scrapbook Layout

Happy New Year crafty friends!

It's a new year, new month and time for a new pattern paper challenge at Crafty Hazel Nut's Pattern Paper challenge.  The theme is always anything goes as long as you use pattern paper.
For my project, I made a scrapbook page to fit inside an 8x10 frame.  This is actually part of the Christmas gift we gave to my nephew and his family for Christmas.  We wanted to do more experience type gifts this year so we gave them a family membership to the Kansas City Zoo.  I can't wait to see pictures of their trips to see the animals.
