Sassy In The City Carrie

Carrie is the last of the Sassy In The City images.  Isn't she fabulous?
I decided to have  her shopping in Paris. The Eiffel Tower die cut is from the
French Manor Cricut cartridge and the shopping bag is from the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More Cricut cartridge.  I added some tissue paper for a little fun.
If you haven't been playing along with the relay but still want a chance to get the Sassy In The City images for free, all you need to do is make some comments on the the blogs of the design team members of Sassy Studio Designs.  Of course, the images are now available in the shop too.

Let's Have A Party!

Are you singing along with me?

Red solo cup, I fill you up
Let's have a party, let's have a party
I love you red solo cup, I lift you up
Proceed to party, proceed to party

I couldn't resist giving this Sassy image a Red Solo Cup to sit on.

On a road trip with my son I let him choose the radio station.  Our taste in music is quite different.  I prefer rock and he prefers country (hmm sounds like that old Donnie and Marie song).  Anyway, the song Red Solo Cup by Toby Keith was playing and he was shocked that I knew all the words.  The next song on the radio by Brad Paisley made me realize just how much I loathe country music. I kid you not part of the lyrics went like this, "I'd like to check you for ticks"  OMG! Who writes that stuff?  I would much rather listen to almost anything else, including the Polka music my grandpa made me listen to Sunday mornings on our way to church!

So fill up those red solo cups and enjoy your weekend.  I know I am!

I hope you have been playing along with Sassy Studio Designs  Sassy In The City Relay.  If you made a project using the first image, Charlotte, then you will get Samantha.
The challenge for the Samantha projects is to use lots of BLING.  I used pattern paper with glitter and I painted her dress with extreme glitter paint after I colored it with copics.  I also added some bling for embellishments.  The divan is from the Heritage Cricut cartridge.

How it works:
You will have approximately two days to complete each challenge. Challenges will go live at midnight EDT and close at 10pm EDT two days later.  Challenges will go live at midnight on June 24th (this one), June 26th, June 28th, and June 30th.  Those who complete challenge #1 with Charlotte will receive the next image, #2, via e-mail. In order to earn image #3, you will have to participate in a second challenge. And then a third challenge to claim image #4, the final image. There will be a winner selected from each of these three challenges. There will then be a final challenge using image #4 for the GRAND prize.

Besides earning the awesome freebies along the way, there will be a random winner drawn from each challenge for two SSD images of choice! And for those who make it to the last challenge.... At the end there will be a random drawing for one lucky winner who will receive 4 images from the upcoming July release before they hit the Sassy Studio Designs store! Aud Sentiments Challenge #57 Let's Play BINGO!

It's time for another challenge at Aud Sentiments.  This time we are playing bingo.

I chose to use the middle row so I used ribbon, embossing and the word "Congrats"

Are you looking at my card and wondering why "Congrats?"
I had a little fun with these two images from Bugaboo Stamps.
Last year I used 'Old Fart" for my dad's birthday card and he told me that
he thought Gus looked like Hugh Hefner.  Of course, that got my creative
juices flowing and I had to give Gus his bunny playmate.  Bugaboo had the
perfect Stella image too.

Here is the inside of the card:
I think an alternate inside verse could be:  "After all these years, you still fit in the bunny suit"

Now it's your turn.  Show us what you can do with the bingo grid and link up your projects to Aud Sentiments
for your chance to win a $20 gift certificate to Stamp and Create.

Card Details:
Images:  Old Fart and Easter Bunny Stella from Bugaboo stamps
Spellbinders scalloped rectangle and square nestibilities

Graduation Thank You Cards

My oldest son graduated from High School in May.  He had so many thank you cards
to send out that I didn't get to make all of them.  I did, however,  make about a dozen of
this card for him to send out.
Graduation Edwin from Magnolia stamps was just perfect for the cards.  I used the tassel cut from
the Paper Doll Dress Up Cart and wrapped some embroidery floss around it.
I made cute little bow ties for Edwin since my son wanted to "stand out" at graduation and look a little different than everyone else so he wore a orange and blue plaid bow tie.  I guess he didn't think the Honor's tassel,  National Honor Society shawl and his Student of the Quarter medalion made him look unique enough.

Here is a pic of my handsome son holding his Diploma and his plaque for being 4th in  his graduating class!!

Card Details:
Stamp:  Graduation Edwin from Magnolia Stamps
Bow tie:  Paper Doll Dress Up Cricut cartridge cut at .25 inches
Tassel:  Paper Doll Dress Up Cricut Cartridge cut at 4 inches
Scalloped Circle:  Cake Basics Cricut cartridge cut at 2 inches
Copics:  E00, E21, E11, E53, E33, C1, C3, C5, C7, C9, B41, E41, Y23
Sketch: #68 from Paper Take Weekly
Entered in following challenges:
Jelly Park:  Boy Crazy
Just Magnolia:  Anything Goes
Our Craft Lounge:  School's Out or graduation
