Colon Cancer Awareness Card

Hello Crafty Friends

March is Colon Cancer Awareness month.  My husband was diagnosed almost 3 years ago with Stage 4 colon Cancer.  He did not have any symptoms and he was too young for a colonoscopy. Since then the recommended age for colonoscopies has been lowered to 45.

It's really hard to find awareness ribbon stamps that aren't girly or focused on breast cancer.  I did find this adorable Tiddly Inks image and I plan to send it to a friend who also is battling colon cancer.

This is my DT card for Crafty Hazel Nut's Pattern Paper Challenge.  The theme is always Anything Goes as long as you use pattern  paper.  The prize is this really pretty pack of paper from Bo Bunny.

I can't wait to see what you create.

50th Birthday Card

Hello Crafty Friends!

A friend is celebrating her 50th birthday today.  I wanted to come up with something a little different than I have done in the  past so I made the card around the sentiment on the inside that reads:  You're not 50 You're 5 perfect 10s. I found a gymnast digi stamp from Tiddly Inks that works just perfect with the sentiment.

Christmas Cards

Hello Crafty Friends

It's time for a new challenge at ABC Christmas.  It's hard to believe that it is already August and we have just a few more months before holiday cards need to be mailed.

The theme for this challenge is:
P for Penguins
Q for Quarters
R for Reindeer

I decided to combine Q for Quarters with both my cards and make the background into quarters.
I kept the cards simple and free of bulky embellishmets so that they can be mailed easily.

Tiddly Inks Blog Hop Fun With Animals

I am super excited to be a part of the Tiddly Inks new release blog hop
So excited in fact, that I made 3 cards. Lol!
Card #1
Features the Cool Cat and Dapper Dog. I figured they either had too much fun decking the halls or they got into a bit a mischief.  Either way, they make a cute holiday card.

Card #2 features rabbit from the Fun Animals Set. I cut out the carrot and the sunglasses from the Fun Animals Extra set as well.

On the inside of the card I used the party hats from the Punky Pups Sentiment set.

Card #3 Once again features Cool Cat and Dapper Dog but this time for a birthday card.

On the inside of the card I used a sentiment from the Punky Pups Sentiment set

I hope that you like the new images as much as I do.
Please follow along on the blog hop. The other designers have lots of creative projects to share as well.

Oh Deer!

If you haven't figured out by now that Christmas cards are my all time favorite cards to make, well then you haven't been paying attention to the gazillion Christmas cards I have posted here.  Ok, ok, I know that is a bit of an exaggeration but really, I LOVE making Christmas cards.  I probably need to start a Christmas club fund so I can pay for all of the postage.  Hmmm goals for next year.

This adorable digi stamp is Deer Heart! from Tiddly Inks.  She is just the cutest and I love her hair! Tiddly Inks is currently having a DT call and I'm going to enter this card. I love crafting with all of their adorable images.

Sending Love At Christmas

I'm loving my new border dies I received for Christmas. I used two of the dies to create this scalloped edge for the card.  I also found some adorable mini pinecones while shopping on ebay.  They add the perfect 3D touch to the card.  The greenery and berries are from a floral spray I found at Michaels.  I just cut off bits to add to my card.
If you want to have a jump start on your Christmas cards, like me, then please join us in our challenges each month at Crafty Hazel Nut's Christmas Extra challenge.  It's always anything Christmas goes.

Christmas Angel

Christmas card #2 done!  This angel is Angelic Wishes from Tiddly Inks. I kept the card simple so that it can be mailed more easily.  I have my master Christmas card list created so I know which cards will need to be mailed and which cards will be hand delivered.  Since it is just too expensive to mail lots of cards with bulky embellishments, I need to plan accordingly.  Even though this one is flat, I love the way the embossing enamel and stickles added to the card.

I am trying to be a little more creative with my graduation cards this year.  That means I am staying away from the typcial cap and gown or school items digi images.
Instead, I chose this beautiful image from Tiddly Inks.
