Life Is A Daring Adventure

Hello Crafty Friends!

March is Women's History Month so our Challenge at Aud Sentiments is to make a Feminine project and include a sentiment.  We are sponsored by The Paper Shelter and I have used Lady In Wings for my card.
I found a sketch at Try Stampin' on Tuesday that works great for this project.  I dug out a CTMH map stamp that I have had in my stash for almost 20 years.  I decided to not color it in for this card.
Here is the inside of my card.  I used some elements from the sketch on the inside as well.

Have A Yummy Birthday Card

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer.  I have today off and it is raining. I'm not complaining because we need this rain.  My garden is way behind and I am hungry for some fresh veggies!

I made this card for one of my former daycare kids.  She just turned 5.  She loves pink and other bright colors so I decided to color up this cutie in lots of her favorite colors.
This is my DT card for Aud Sentiments.  We are currently having a DT call. If you are interested in joining our team, hop on over to the challenge blog to learn  how to apply. We are looking for crafters who enjoy making a variety of projects from cards, scrapbook layouts, tags, altered items, pocket letters, etc.

Mistletoe Kisses

This is my DT card for Aud Sentiments. The theme is Christmas for Your Love + A Sentiment.
It's our last challenge of 2016.

Santa and his reindeer look like they are giving Eskimo kisses so this image is just perfect to send to someone you love.  I'll probably give to my husband or one of my sons so they can say, "mooom!"
The sentiment actually says "Snowflake wishes and eskimo kisses" but I just inked up the mistletoe kisses.

Santa Family Selfie

When I saw this image at The Paper Shelter, I thought it was so appropriate for a Christmas card. I'm sure our family will be taking a lots of pictures and even a few selfies this year.
I thought since the image was so much fun, that I should keep the rest of the card design simple.  I found this great sketch at Sweet Sketch Wednesday.

Autumn Leaves

Fall is my favorite time of year.  I love the colors, cooler temperatures and all of the fun activities.  Since both my boys are in college now, I kinda miss the years spent in the football stadium watching them perform in the marching band and also coaching their soccer teams.  What fun times we had together.
This is my project for the current challenge at Aud Sentiments. Our theme is Fall Fun + A Sentiment. I hope you join us.

If I Had A Flower

I tried a different fold for this card.  I love how simple, yet fun it is.  It also gives me lots of space inside if I want to either write my own  message on the middle part are decorate it with further embellishments.  As you can see, I left the middle fairly free of embellishments so I can decide later what I want to do.  I may even just attach a gift card to the middle section.
This card is for the challenge at Aud Sentiments.  The theme is "Things with Wings"  You can create any type of project you want as long as you include something with wings...will it be birds and butterflies like me or a fairy, airplane or bugs.  Can't wait to see what you create.  You can enter here. Yummy Ice Cream

The name of this digi image from The Paper Shelter is Not Big Enough.  That's  exactly what my husband says everytime we go to Aspen Leaf for frozen yogurt.  I used the papers from the Cherry Limeade stack from DCWV.  I love the pink with white polka dots so I colored her dress to match.  Of course, I had to color the ice cream all my favorite kinds, pistachio, chocolate, strawberry and vanilla.

RAWR! Is Dinosaur For I Love You

Inside of card:
It's time for another challenge at Scrapbooker PhD.  The theme for this challenge is Digital with optional animal.  We are sponsored by the fabulous Paper Shelter and I used their Jurassic Love for this project.
My usual process for card making is as follows:
1. Choose and image
2. Choose a card design
3. Choose papers
4. Choose embellishments
5. Color image and assemble card
For this card I turned my process upside down.  I colored the image first and then chose papers and decided on a card design.  Since I prefer to match my papers with the copics I use, I really forced myself to choose colors and papers I would not normally put together. I never would have considered putting teal, orange and melon together but for this image, I think it works.

Summer Dreamin

The new challenge at Aud Sentiments is to create a project using Any Sentiment For A Girl.
We are sponsored by The Paper Shelter
Winter has been rather long and cold here in Missouri.  The weather man stated  we are expecting more snow over the weekend.  I usually love snow but I am ready for some warmer temps and to start wearing my flip flops again.
After coloring this little darling with copics, I added real sand to the card for some texture.

Rapunzel Birthday Card

Here is my dt card for Aud Sentiments.  The challenge is to create a project for a girl and of course, to include a sentiment.  I made a birthday card for a special young lady.
The image is Rapunzel from The Paper Shelter. I love the flowers in her hair.  I had some flowers that were similar so I used them as an accent and then used yellow gems for the centers. I used the gems in her hair as well.  After coloring the image, I used gold and pink spica pens on her hair ribbon, jewel in her hair and on her belt.. Love those spica pens.  They are just perfect for adding a touch of glitter to small areas.

Let's Play Bingo!

It's time for another challenge at Aud Sentiments.   We are sponsored by The Paper Shelter and the challenge is BINGO.

I made two cards for this challenge.  For my first card, I used the first column (3D item, Ribbon and the word "Merry")
I used white flower soft for santa's hat and coat trip and tan fun flock for Rudolph's antlers.

For my second card I used the the diagonal column of (Bling, Ribbon and Snow)

This adorable elf reminded me of Buddy from the movie, Elf.  I think this is what he would look like as he traveled through the seven layers of the candy cane forest and the sea of swirly twirly gum drops.  I used a snow writer and extreme glitter paint for my bling on this card as well as diamond dust on the gum drops.

I hope that you join us in the challenge.  Simply create a project using the Bingo grid and link up it up to the challenge blog for your chance to win a gift certificate from The Paper Shelter.
