55th Anniversary Card

My parents are celebrating their 55th wedding anniversary.  I had this idea in my head for their card for quite awhile.  I welded the road signs together using cricut craft room.  I was stumped on what colors and papers to use but my husband told me to look up what colors are associated with 55th wedding anniversary.  It's emerald green....I wouldn't normally use this color for an anniversary card but it goes along great with the whimsical card.

Card Details:
Card base using Going Places Cricut cartridge cut at 5.5 inches
Car and couple from Sweethearts Cricut cartridge cut at 2.75 inches
55 from the Base Camp cricut cartridge cut at 4 inches

Birthday Card

I have been playing around with my distress reinkers to paint my stamped images. I have had my reinders for a very long time and I have been wanted to learn how to paint with them. I have watched several youtube videos and practiced lots. I still have lots to learn and need to spend much more time practicing. This is the first completed project I have featured on my blog but it's not my first painted image.  That one is a DT project and will be featured later.

This card is for my niece who will be celebrating her birthday in August.

Twinkle Little Star

I just love this sweet image from Mo's Digital Pencil.  This little angel polishing stars is super adorable.  I have chosen to use it for a Christmas card but I can see it for so many other occassions such as a new baby, birthday make a wish card, etc.
After coloring with copics, I painted the star with extreme glitter paint for some twinkly shine.  I also added some stickles to the wings and die cut starts.

White and Red Christmas Card

The challenge this month at Simply Magnolia is to create a project using White + One Other Color.
I used two magnolia stamps to create this card.  I just adore this Tilda and her lollipop paired up withe the candy cane stamp.  I went for a CAS design and added some extra touches with stitching and extreme glitter paint.

Christmas in July

This image from Bugaboo Stamps just makes me chuckle.  Wouldn't we all love to buy our own Christmas gifts?  I would have fun shopping in the craft stores for myself.  I created a spot to tuck a gift card so the recipient can do a little of their own Christmas shopping.
This is my DT card for Aud Sentiments.  The challenge is Christmas in July.

Winter Card

Wow, It's already July!  Can you believe it?  As I have gotten older, the years seem to go by so much faster.  I can remember when I was a child I spent lots of time wishing my life away...I wished I was older so I could get my ears pierced, drive a car, etc.  Now I am wishing for things to slow down so I can enjoy each day a little bit more.
Anyway, today's card is my DT make for Crafty Hazel Nut's Christmas Extra challenge. The challenge is always anything Christmas goes.  I decided a winter card would be perfect for July.  We are experiencing a short reprieve from the heat but the humidity is still going strong.
I hope you join us for the challenge.  Participating is a great way to get a dent made in your holiday greeting card list. You can enter your project HERE
