Sympathy Card

Today starts another challenge for Aud Sentiments.  The theme for the challenge is Thinking of You Sentiments.  Since I made this to use as a sympathy card, I kept the design very simplistic.  I did add some stickles to the flowers though.
Our sponsor for this challenge is A Day For Daisies

Genie 5 Card

Today's card is from the new release from Scrapper's Delights.  We have even more beautiful genies to create with now. In fact there is even an entire Genie category in the store.  I just love the hair on this one.  I colored it blue with some black instead of black with blue highlights.

RAWR! Is Dinosaur For I Love You

Inside of card:
It's time for another challenge at Scrapbooker PhD.  The theme for this challenge is Digital with optional animal.  We are sponsored by the fabulous Paper Shelter and I used their Jurassic Love for this project.
My usual process for card making is as follows:
1. Choose and image
2. Choose a card design
3. Choose papers
4. Choose embellishments
5. Color image and assemble card
For this card I turned my process upside down.  I colored the image first and then chose papers and decided on a card design.  Since I prefer to match my papers with the copics I use, I really forced myself to choose colors and papers I would not normally put together. I never would have considered putting teal, orange and melon together but for this image, I think it works.

Christmas In July

Any chance I get to complete a Christmas card, I take it.
This card was created using Santa Snail from QKR Stampede. I added a little polar white flower soft to his hat trim.
I had these ornament dies I order from Stampin Up for quite awhile so I was glad for chance to finally use them.
Since I will need to mail this card, I kept it flat and relied on my die cuts for added embellishments.

Wow, I just realized it is the middle of July already!  Summer is flying by.  In just a couple of weeks I will be getting ready for my daycare to be full again and for preschool to start.  Usually I am ready to get back into our routine but this year I want summer to last a little longer.
Here's a simple and sweet anniversary card.  Since I need to mail this one, I made it flat and simply relied on my die cuts for embellishments.
