Let's Roll!

I had fun making this card.  This is Flossie Bumblethorpe from Dr Digi House of Stamps.  I chose light floral pastel papers because that reminds me of my grandmother.  Flossie seems all dress up and ready to party!  She also looks very determined to be the first to the cake!  The new challenge at Aud Sentiments is to use a 2 Word Sentiment.

Happy Winter card

Christmas is just 3 1/2 months away!  Are you ready?  Have you started your Christmas cards?  If you plan to mail your cards you need to have them done by the beginning of December.  I am slowly adding to my stash of holiday cards and hope to have them done in time.  Of course, there is always the mad dash right before  Christmas to finish.  I am hoping to avoid that again this year.
This is my DT card for The Merry Christmas Challenge.  Our theme is always Anything Christmas Goes.

Table Top Name Tags for Preschool

Today starts a new challenge at Digi Choosday.  The DT was challenged to create a project for a young person. Since I run a small daycare from my home and teach preschool.  I made these name tags to go on our art/project table.  I like to provide lots of opportunities for the kids to see their names in print.  The were excited to find these new name tags made with the adorable Lil Miss Mermaid and Hang in there little monkey from Polkadoodles.  The names were cut out of the Distress Ink spots paper also found in the Polkadoodles shop.

Magic Wands

All good witches need their very own magic wand!
Today's Halloween treats are magic wands made from pretzels.
The new clear stamp release from Polkadoodles is so much fun. I used the witch from the Hey Pumpkin stamp set.  I kept the tag simple because the pattern paper (also from Polkadoodles) has enough of a pattern to create a great spooky scene.

Halloween Treats

I have more Halloween treats to share today.

Halloween Candy Bar Wrapper

I have been having lots of fun creating Halloween projects using the newest Polkadoodles stamps.

When I think of Halloween, I instantly think of candy!  Come on, admit it, you do too.  Of course, nothing beats a good ol Hershey chocolate bar.  We don't get very many trick or treaters out in the country so I tend to make the treats a little more special.

Let's Brew Up Some Fun

I am having so much fun crafting with the new stamps from Polkadoodles.  The stamps I used for this card are from the Hey Pumpkin stamp set.  I decided to make a shaker card since I am sure the witch making this brew is sprinkling in lots of different ingredients.  I added some texture to the brew with Snow-Tex.  I added some drops of my copic ink to make the bubbling brew a fun green color.

Papers: Halloween Trick or Treat Papers 2 from Polkadoodles and Halloween Trick or Treat Papers 1 from Polkadoodles

Haunted House Card

When I saw these spooky little ghosts I immediately thought of a haunted house.  I used dies from Polkadoodles to create the door, lamp post and fence.  I fussy cut the ghosts and added them so it looks like the house is haunted.  The pumpkins are also from this stamp set and make great front porch decor for the scene.  I hope you are enjoying the new release as much as I am.

Halloween Gift Card Holder

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays so I was super excited to see this new release at Polkadoodles
When my boys were in grade school we loved dressing up and going trick or treating together.  However, when you live in the country, trick or treating can be difficult since our nearest neighbors are over 1/4 mile away.  Eventually I made a deal with my boys.  We would skip the door to door trick or treating and just stay home and watch Halloween movies.  I always made sure they had their favorite treats.  Now that they are in their 20's, I still give them a little treat but in the form of gift cards.  This gift card holder is just perfect for a little Halloween treat.
