Ugly Christmas Sweater

The current challenge at ScrapbookerPhd is to created a shaped or folded card.
I have had this paper in my stash for a couple of years and it has always reminded me of a Christmas sweater.  I used Cricut Craft room to create the card.  I found a shirt in the Everday Paper Doll cartridge and then stretched and welded two together to created the card.
I had fun adding lots of embellishments to make it look "tacky"  The star is a charm and I stitched it to the card so that it won't fall off.  I found a pom pom the perfect size to give Rudolph his red nose and the ribbon is from the dollar spot at Michaels.  I purposely left the ends frayed to give it that well worn look.

Here's the inside:

This card is for a certain someone we constantly tease about wearing ugly sweaters.  However, I think it would also make a great invitation for an Ugly Sweater Party.  I have already received an inviation to attend one Ugly Sweater party this year.

Elegant Christmas Tree

I really love the way this card turned out.  I found the sketch at Sketch Saturday and loved the clean and simple lines.  This Christmas tree has always been one of my favorite images from my Christmas Noel Cricut cartridge.  I think the Doo Hickey die cut I used pairs perfectly with it.  The paper is double sided.  One side is the red pattern and the other is the silver.

Deck The Halls

Christmas is less than 8 weeks away!  Are you ready?  I still have lots of Christmas cards to make. They are my favorite kind of cards to make so I know I will have fun this next month getting caught up.
I am also counting down the days until Sirius XM starts playing Christmas songs.  Yes, I am that person.  I love listening to Christmas music and will have it playing everyday until Christmas is over.

This card uses stamps from one of my favorite stamp companies, Magnolia Stamps.  I used a sketch from 52 Christmas Card Throw down.  I did not use any die cuts for this card which is unusual for me.  I did add some fun embellishments though.  The snowflakes are buttons and yes, those are real jingle bells.  I stitched them to the card so they are secure.  I added gold stickles to the star on top of the tree, snow tex to the tree branches, white embossing powder for falling snow and I painted the string of jingle bells with extreme glitter paint.
