Aud Sentiments Challenge #5 LOVE

Wow, it's time for challenge #5 at Aud Sentiments!! I had so much fun with this challenge because our sponsor is Karen's Doodles. Her images are simply adorable. For my projects I chose her digi image Love You Forever. The challenge this time was to use the word love somewhere on our project. For my card I chose to use just that word since it speaks volumes!

In addition to a card, I decorated a small note pad that opens like a match book. For this one I used the phrase Love Notes.

Father's Day

Inside of card:

This is the card I made for my dad for Father's day. The stamp is Fly Away by Penny Black and is one of my favorites. The inside of the card was made using the negative cut of the frame on the front.

Super Hero Dad

Happy Father's Day!!! This is kind of a cheesy card but I think my hubby looks good as a super hero. All cuts are from the Cricut for this card. I used the Funshine Face Parts stamps from Peachy Keen Stamps for the face. Once I got them lined up so the eyes would work with the mask, it was pretty easy.

Aud Sentiments Challenge #4 Hello Friend

Time for another challenge at Aud Sentiments. We had an amazing turnout for challenge #3 and I can't wait to see all of the projects you make for this challenge.

We have wonderful sponsor for this challenge. The lucky winner will receive a gift voucher to use in the Soft Pencil store. They have such cute and adorable images that will work for almost any occassion.
The sentiment for challenge #4 is "Hello Friend." You must use that exact sentiment some where on your project. You can add to the sentiment if you want but our only rule is to use that exact phrase.

For my project I chose the image, "I'll keep you safe bird" I decided to make a card purse. You can find directions for making the purse at Split Coast Stampers. I like to give a set of cards to my grandmothers at various times throughout the year and I thought this image would make a cute set of all occassion note cards. The purse holds a set of 6 cards and envelopes.

This is exactly how I feel about camping....LOL! I just love this digi stamp from Bugaboo Stamps. I am entering this card into the challenge at Stamp Something. We were just to create a card with a digi image. It is amazing but I actually made a card without using my Cricut...not even a scalloped circle... Pretty simple card design but I wanted that image to stand out and be the focus.

Monkey Around

The challenge at Jitterbuggin this week was a lot of fun. The rules were to follow the sketch, use 3 different pattern papers, and to use a monkey from one of the Cricut cartridges. I chose to use the monkey from the Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge. This monkey looks to me like he is swinging from tree to tree so I decided to make a tent card so he could dangle. You can find the directions for making a tent card here. I was pretty lucky for my pattern papers. I used double sided card stock and decided that counted as two and then the monkey paper I used was all I had left from another project. (I am so glad I saved my scraps!) The gold paper does have a pattern so I guess I ended up with four different pattern papers. I used my circle cutter to cut a 3 inch circle in the paper and then used the silhouette feature on George to make the frame around the circle.

Kiss Me

I loved the sketch over at Cardabilities this time. If you haven't noticed, I like to use scalloped circles on my cards. For that reason, the Mini Monograms Cricut cartridge is one of my all time favorites. I used the frog stamp from the Magnolia Stamps spring kit. Isn't he cute? I added glitter to his crown but decided to use my gold glitter that has bigger flakes to give the crown a more jeweled look. I couldn't resist adding pink stickles to those lips! I did add a few rhinestone stickers to the crown on the inside of the card for some added sparkle. The inside sentiment is also from the spring Magnolia Stamps kit.

Rootin Tootin Cowboy

I just adore this little guy! He looks like he is having so much fun. The image is Rootin Tootin Cowboy from Karen's Doodles. I have had him colored for quite awhile now but finally got around to making a card. The belt buckle accent has been in my stash for a long time and I finally found just the perfect place for it. The belt is a strip of leather.
