Christmas is a magical time of year for children!
However, it can get a bit overwhelming for them with all the
mixed messages of the season. I decided that I wanted to try
something different this year with my daycare kids to make
the season more meaningful. I have tried the Elf On The Shelf system
but really wanted the focus not on their behaviour but on their actions.
In my search for something to try, I stumbled upon The Christmas Angel.
What a sweet way to get children involved in the season.
Each day during advent we will be visited by an angel named Noel
who will leave us an letter in the advent calendar. Noel will
be giving us jobs to do that help us remember that it is
BETTER TO GIVE THAN RECEIVE
We will be making cards, gifts and treats for the elderly or shut ins
during this month.
