Ballet Princess

Finally got some time in my craft room to work on a just for fun project.
The stamp is Princess Tilda with Ballet Shoes and it came in my last Magnolia Stamp Club Kit.
I decided to go really girly with this card and added lots of glitter.  After coloring her with copics, I painted her crown,  and part of her tutu with extreme glitter paint.  I also used sparkle embossing glitter from Recollections and then topped that with Opaque Pink glitter.

Bathing Beauty!

This is my DT project for Aud Sentiments.  The theme is "Summer"
I just love this little bathing beauty.
I colored her in some of my favorite colors for summer.
We have had lots of rain this year and I can't wait for a few days of sunshine!
Today was the first day we got out the small pool and water toys for my daycare kids.
It was so much fun to watch them play in the sun and water.

You've Got The "Write" Stuff

I couldn't resist a little play on words with this card.  I am planning to put it in my stash of care package items for my son.  He is a college student and I love to send him and several of his friends cards and small gifts throughout the year.  I will probably send this during finals week.

Ok, now for a little bit of mom bragging...my son just finished his first year at college and came home with straight A's for both semesters!!  He got all his smarts from his mom....hahahaha!  He is spending the summer taking 2 classes plus working 2 jobs.  He is getting trained today to scrub in for surgeries so he can get a little closer when he goes in to observe.  He is planning to go to med school and would like to be a family practioner in a rural area.  Love that kid!

This is one of my favorite images from Sassy Cheryls. (I think I say that about each one of her stamps.) She is just too cute!

Brains, It's What's for Dinner

When I saw the current challenge at the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge blog, I just knew I had to play along.  I have several "That's Just Wrong" ideas but decided to start with this one.  A few of my other ideas....well let's just say, probably aren't appropriate.

I love Zombies and Halloween stuff so this was really fun.
I started with Chef Tilda.  I wanted her to look a gruesome Zombie without going overboard, so I decided to tear her eye out!  I made an eyeball and then attached it to a coiled wire so it looks like it is dangling.

The inside of the card was fun also.  I used Kitchen Tilda and made her a zombie as well.  She has been stirring the brains so her spoon is full of dripping blood.
I showed my son the card and he said I should have used more blood!  Teenagers!  I wasn't sure who I was going to give this card to until my son said his friend, Katie loves Zombies too.  This will be a great card for her with a little care package at Halloween.

Card Details:
Stamps:  Chef Tilda and Kitchen Tilda from Magnolia Stamps
X-Press it card and memento ink
Copics: Face: E00, W0, W1, W3, W5
            E33, E29, E27, E25, E53, E37, E35, G82, G40, T10, T9, T8, T7, T4, T1, YR65, YR09, R59, R46, R29, R24

Jolly Holidays

It's time for another challenge at Aud Sentiments.
The theme for this challenge is Anything Goes!  Plus we are having a DT Call.
If you love creating projects with digital images and would like to be part of a fun and relaxed group, you should apply for the team.  All you need to do is put DT after your name when you enter the current challenge.

We are sponsored by Beccy's Place for this challenge.
I just adore this Snowman fence from Beccy's Place.  Each of the snowmen are just so cute.  I cut and layered the fence posts for some added dimension.  I added white flower soft to the hat trims and used diamond dust on the fence posts.  The snowflakes are glittered up as well.

See You Later Alligator

Here is another idea I got from Pintrest.  The one I saw on Pintrest had fewer rhymes and was painted.  You can see it HERE.  I decided to get a bigger frame (11.75x36) so I could have more rhymes.   It was fun finding all of the rhymes for the animals.

There are lots more out there such as:

See You Soon Raccoon or Baboon
So Long King Kong
Make Your Escape Great Ape
Adieu Cockatoo
Better Swish Jelly fish
Hit The Road Happy Toad
Can't Stay Blue Jay
Time To Scoot Little Newt
Til Then Penquin
Adios Hippos
Hasta Manana Iquana
To Your House Quiet Mouse
On The Bus Octopus
In An Hour Sunflower
Chop Chop Lollipop

Can you think of more?

All of the lettering and animals were cut out of vinyl using my Cricut.  My original intention was to put the vinyl on the glass and then remove the backing.  When I took off the back and paper insert, I discovered that the backside of the cardboard insert was black.  I liked that for the background so decided to place the vinyl cuts directly on to that.  It is a good thing too because I discovered the glass had a flaw and broke.  Thank goodness I am married to a carpenter.  He was able to cut me a new piece of glass.   I am a little disappointed that the brown and dark green vinyl is hard to see in the picture but it looks great on the wall.  This will be hung by the door where my daycare kids come and go.

Hello Friend

I am really late posting this card.  I made this for the Friend challenge at Aud Sentiments.  You still have some time to join us for this challenge if you make a project for a friend.
The past couple of weeks have been crazy for me.  My daycare kids were all sick and then Spring allergies hit me hard this year.  I haven't been able to do any crafting due to swollen eyes.  Guess I will have to make up for the loss of crafty time this week.
