First Birthday Card

Hello Crafty Friends

Birthday cards are always fun to make.  I dug deep into my stash of digi stamps and came up with this little cuties from Karen's Doodles.  The store is no longer open but this is one of my favorites from her.

I paper pieced the clothing on this little guy for some extra fun.  

This is my DT card for Crafty Hazel Nut's Pattern Paper challenge.

Easter Cards

Happy Easter!

I am cutting it close with getting these cards done.  I finished them just in time to deliver to family tonight at our Easter dinner.  Now all I have to do is decorate cupcakes and make a couple casseroles.

I used the same card design for these cards as I did with my other Easter cards.  I just changed papers and stamps used.  It made for faster work and the cards still all look unique.

Birthday Card

I made this card for a friend of mine.  She celebrated her birthday in Africa while on a mission trip. I used the Safari Chic paper pad from DCWV for this card.  The giraffes are from Karen's Doodles.  I have had this image for years but it's always fun to use.  I have several more birthday cards to make before I can get started on my Easter cards.  Guess I had better get busy since Easter is now less than 2 weeks away...yikes!

 Welcome to my week celebrating babies!

In a few hours I will be leaving to chaperone our church's youth group on their trip to

Washington DC for the March for Life.

I am pretty excited about the trip even though it means spending 24 hours on a bus full of teens.  I deal will toddlers on a daily basis for work so I figure teens should be pretty easy.....right?

Anyway, while I am gone, I decided to share my recently restocked supply of baby cards.  Not only do we have lots of friends having babies but I have had several friends become grandparents recently....gasp!

MOO-Y CHRSTMAS!

Mooy- Christmas! I couldn't resist adding that sentiment to this card. This card is going to be for my sister-in-law, Betty, for Christmas. She loves cows and wouldn't you know it, this image is called Bovine Betty and it's from Karen's Doodles. Hehehe

The ornaments on the tree were all made with the Build a Snowman cuttlebug embossing folder. I simply cut out the shapes after embossing to use as the ornaments.

Make A Wish

Karen's Doodles is having a DT call. I just adore her fun images so I thought I would give it a try. The image I used for this card is Dragon Birthday. I added some glitter paint to his wings and used a spica pen on his firey breath. I did use some confetti glitter on top of the cake but it doesn't show up well in the picture.

Black and White Christmas Ornament

Yes, I have another card for today. I think this is number 3. I made this for the challenge over at Karen's Doodles and just couldn't wait to post it until tomorrow. The challenge is Black and White Christmas. All papers are to be black and white but other colors can be used on the image. I used the image Meet Me Under the Mistletoe from Karen's Doodles. Isn't this elephant cute? I tried to give her an elegant look as if she was giong to a Christmas party. Her dress and bow are plain white with some stickles and then accented with snow white flower soft. The card base is the ornament card from the Wild Card Cricut cartridge. I used black glitter paper for the ornament.

Karen's Doodles Book Mark

The challenge over at Karen's Doodles is to make a book mark in celebration of back to school time. Since I am an avid reader, I can never have too many book marks. I chose the image Movie Boy for my book mark since I think reading a book is so much better than going to the movies. The film strip is from the Mickey and Friends Cricut cartridge. I cut it at 3 inches.

Halloween Kitty Kat

Fall is my favorite time of year. I love everything about it; the colors, the activities, the cool weather, and of course, Halloween. The adorable digi image is Kitty Kat from Karen's Doodles. We once had a cat that looked just like the one sitting in the pumpkin. In fact, he loved to eat pumpkins! If we put our pumpkins outside for halloween after we had carved them, he would be trying to get inside them to eat them. He was the perfect Halloween cat since the boys name him Salem. For this card I used my brand new Happy Hauntings Cricut cartridge. There are so many great cuts on this cart and I think the frame I used could be used all year long if you just leave off the spiders. The ghosts are cut from vellum. I drew the faces on with my zig pen and then wiped off the ink with my finger. It doesn't smear on the vellum but leaves a fainter pen mark that is a better look for the ghosts faces.

Aud Sentiments Challenge #5 LOVE

Wow, it's time for challenge #5 at Aud Sentiments!! I had so much fun with this challenge because our sponsor is Karen's Doodles. Her images are simply adorable. For my projects I chose her digi image Love You Forever. The challenge this time was to use the word love somewhere on our project. For my card I chose to use just that word since it speaks volumes!

In addition to a card, I decorated a small note pad that opens like a match book. For this one I used the phrase Love Notes.

I just adore this little guy! He looks like he is having so much fun. The image is Rootin Tootin Cowboy from Karen's Doodles. I have had him colored for quite awhile now but finally got around to making a card. The belt buckle accent has been in my stash for a long time and I finally found just the perfect place for it. The belt is a strip of leather.

Herbert the Turtle Birthday Cupcake

This card is for two challenges this week, Sketch Saturday and Karen's Doodles. The sketch is from Sketch Saturday for week #99. The cute little turtle is a Karen's Doodles image. It was a recipe challenge this time for Karen's Doodles. We were to include two pattern papers, a ribbon, 3 brads/gems, and a border (my border is around the turtle).

I just love these images from Karen's Doodles so much that I had to make more cards. This time I did both a boy and girl bunny. These cards are made using the spring fold technique. I made this card using a digi stamp from Karen's Doodles. She has lots of cute images and currently is offering a sale. Yippee!!! Had fun doing a little shopping this morning. I thought this guy was just so stinkin cute and just had to make a card. I thought the chocolate Easter bunny looked so cute. Looks just like this little guy took a bite.
