Bob's Balloons Birthday Card

Hello Crafty Friends!

I hope you are all safe and healthy during the pandemic.  It certainly is crazy times but that does give us crafters some time to work on projects.

My DT project for Aud Sentiments features the image Bob's Balloons from Dr Digi House of Stamps.  I enjoyed the challenge of coloring the layers of balloons.

Masculine Birthday Card

I made this card for my dad's birthday.  I colored it up in the neutral blue and browns.  My mom had a good laugh when she saw the card because my dad was dressed in the same colors and had his reading glasses on the end of his nose just like in this image.

Teen Boy Birthday Card

I made this card for one of my former daycare kids.  He celebrated his 15th birthday yesterday.  I miss having that happy little boy around every day.
This image from Mo's Digital Pencil is perfect for a teen birthday, which let's face it, are harder than cards for adult men.
I used my new Big and Little Pieced Chain Square die from Gina Marie Dies.  I love the look it gives to the card.

Cupcake Thief

I made this card for a special friend who just turned 17 years old.  Actually, she is one of my former daycare kids.  She is super sweet and I miss hearing her say, "Miss Jul-lie"

For this card I used another great image from Mo's Digital Pencil called Cupcake Thief. I just love the way the hair turned out.
I created the card in Cricut Craft room by welding two shapes together. This has become one of my favorite card shapes.  It certainly is more interesting than your basic square or rectangle card.

Birthday Card for My Husband

It's time for a new challenge at Aud Sentiments.  The theme of the challenge is For The Men In Our Lives + A Sentiment.
My husband loves ice cream so I used this cute image from Bugaboo Stamps.  I did a little something different with the sentiment.  I added 2 sentiments.  One is computer generated by me and the other is the die versions happy birthday corner die.  Usually I put the corner sentiment behind the image matting but I wanted to change things up a bit.  I placed it over the matting and added an old button from my button jar.  Everyone has a button jar, right?  Mine is actually a tin cookie canister of my grandma's.  I have collected buttons from both of my grandmothers, my mother in law and from some estate sales.  I always forget to use them in my projects.

for this challenge we are sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps.  I hope you join us in the challenge for a chance to win images from the Bugaboo shop

Masculine Birthday Card

I made this card for my brother-in-law.  The image is Oscar from Mo's Digital pencil.  I combined him with a sentiment from Bugaboo Stamps.  I think that he looks a little confused...hahaha!
I kept this card simple and simply matted the papers a few times and added the happy birthday corner die.

Happy 5th Birthday Aud Sentiments

Happy 5th Birthday Aud Sentiments!!

5 years ago I was picked to be on the DT for a brand new challenge blog where the challenges were centered around the sentiments.  Now five years later, Aud Sentiments is still going strong, thanks to all of our fabulous sponsors through the years, the creative DT members who have shared their talents and thanks to all of our participants in the challenges.  Who knows if we will see another 5 years of challenges but, I know that I am still having fun crafting and creating with all of you.

Here is a picture of my projects for our very first challenge at Aud Sentiments.  The theme was to use the phrase "Happy Mother's Day"  I was so excited to be a part of this challenge blog that I created two projects.  At the time I was new to using copics but not new to card making.  I started making cards while in college as a way to save money.  Who would have known that my money saving ways would lead to a hobby that has become a passion for almost 30 years.

Cupcake Thief

Today's card is for a special young lady turning 14!  I kept the card free of lots of embellishments since it will need to be mailed.  After coloring with copics, I added glitter to the cupcake frosting, extreme glitter paint to her wings and white embossing emanel with blue sparkles around the edges. I am not sure that it shows up in the pic, but the blue paper is a shiny cardstock.

I actually made two of this card for two special boys who will be turning 4 years old this spring.

Not only did I use the Number 4 but I also used 4 stars.

3rd Birthday Card

I just love the way this card turned out.
It is for a very special young lady who will be 3 this spring.
I got to use one of my new dies that I got at Christmas.
I love the way this die cuts out the phrase Happy Birthday so it wraps around the corner.
I can tell I am going to get a ton of use out of this one.
I had fun with this card.  I added glitter to her shoes since all stylish 3 years olds wear glittery shoes these days.  I also glittered the number 3 and then added 3 punched butterflies.
