Snowmen Melt Your Heart

It's time for a new challenge at Aud Sentiments.  We are sponsored by Inspired by Stamping.  The theme for the challenge is Bingo + A Sentiment.
For my card, I chose to use a stamp from Magnolia Stamps.  I used distress inks to color (I'm still learning how to use them)
I used pink, stamped image and die cuts

Princess card

This is my first card I made using an stamp I colored with distress inks instead of copics.  I am rather pleased with how she turned out.  I do need to do a lot of practicing though.
This is my DT card for Simply Magnolia challenge.  The challenge theme is to use a charm.  I had this crown charm that paired up nicely with this Tilda stamp.  You still have lots of time to join us in this challenge.

Distress inks
la la land heart doily border die
Magnolia Doohickey heart die
Magnolia Doohickey fence die

Birthday Card

I have been playing around with my distress reinkers to paint my stamped images. I have had my reinders for a very long time and I have been wanted to learn how to paint with them. I have watched several youtube videos and practiced lots. I still have lots to learn and need to spend much more time practicing. This is the first completed project I have featured on my blog but it's not my first painted image.  That one is a DT project and will be featured later.

This card is for my niece who will be celebrating her birthday in August.

Inside of the card:

Birthday Easel Card

This card is for my sister-in-law's birthday.  I made the easel card using spellbinders dies. There are lots of layers but I love the way it turned out.  I had these papers in my stash for awhile and decided they would look great paired with this Tilda in Hat from Magnolia Stamps. It's one of the first Magnolia stamps I purchased several years ago.  The button is an old one I found in my button jar.  Everyone has a button jar, right?  I add to it when I find buttons at estate sales.  I added a bit of cheesecloth behind a few layers. I think it matches up with the veil on her hat nicely.  I inked all the edges of the paper with walnut distress ink and then added some shabby pink embossing enamel.

Card Details:
Stamp: Tilda with hat from Magnolia Stamps
Spellbinders nestibility dies for the card base
Spellbinders labels die for the sentiment
Shabby Pink embossing enamel
Walnut ink distress ink
Copics

Entered in following challenges:
Pink Gem Challenge: Ribbon and Bling
Sweet Stampin: Happy birthday
Creative Artiste: Mixed media
Fussy and Fancy: Creative folds or shaped cards

Owl Card

My son had his 22nd birthday the other day and this was the card I made him.  He is one of my biggest crafting supporters so I knew he would notice right away that I tried a new technique. (He did and asked me about it).  I finally got a chance to play with the distress reinkers I received for Christmas.  I painted the background with the ink and then dropped little bits of water on top to create the look.  I kept the card clean and simple (CAS) to show off the background. I really love the way it turned out and I can't wait to try other color combos.

Card Details:
Owl stamp: Not sure which company it is from
Distress inks: bundled sage, pumice stone, weathered wood
Spellbinders lacy circle die
Stitched circle die

entered in to following challenges:
Avenue 613: Anything goes
Come and Get It Challenge: Mixed media (die cuts and alcohol inks)
