Midnight Prancer Digi Doodle Studios

Happy November Crafty Friends!

I can't  believe it's already November!
Are you ready for Christmas?  My goal was to create a few Christmas cards each month so I would be ready to mail them out at the end of this month.  I think I am going to meet my goal.

Today also starts a new challenge at Digi Doodle Studios Challenges.  The theme is always Anything Goes so you have a chance to enter with your holiday creations. I can't wait to see what you create.

For this Christmas card I used Midnight Prancer from Digi Doodle Studios.  Over the years we have had 3 Labrador Retrievers. All three were either rescues or dogs that were dumped by their first owners.  We have loved each of them because they are simple the best dogs ever!  I colored this image to look like the yellow lab we had while our boys were young.  Her name was Candy and we miss her like crazy.  She was so sweet and gentle and was the best protector of all my kids.

Card Details:

Entered in following challenges:

  3. Both your card and your story speak to my heart! I've had Labs for the last almost 30 years, all rescues. My favorite, and yes, its hard to pick favs but he was my soulmate in canine from, lived to be 16. I have one that is 12 now and still doing well, though moving slower. For the first time in decades I took on a mixed breed, but only because she clearly has some Lab in her! Your card is simply lovely and I love the layout almost as much as the adorable pup! I love the coordinating dog patterned paper too! Thank you so much for sharing at 2CCC and be sure to come back soon to play again!

  4. Beautiful card and reasoning behind the image-they break your heart when they go -we lost our last one nearly 15yrs ago and still upsets me -said no more dogs -since then we have had cats/chickens/ducks lol now we have taken on an unwanted very needy anxiety ridden dog must be mad!!!
