My son is spending the fall semester in Bhutan. It's a study abroad program with the School for Field Studies. He is a senior in college with a double major in Biology and Environmental Service as well as a minor in Psychology. While he is there he will be taking 18 credit hours as well as participating in field study projects and learning about the rich cultural history of the country. He is writing a blog titled, Searching For The Thunder Dragon, documenting his travels. If interested in reading it you can find it HERE
The students are staying in a dormitory but at some time during the semester, he will stay with a local family.
He asked me the night before he left if I could make him a card to give to the family he will stay with as a thank you. So being the every dutiful mom, I got up early and made this card for him. I kept it simple so that it would be easier for him to pack.

I used sunflowers since they are blooming around our area this time of year.
I kept the inside of the card simple with plenty of room for him to write a message.
On the back of the card I used die cut of our state along with a heart over the area where we live.
