Inlaid Dies


The current challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throw Down is to create a Christmas card using the inlaid dies technique. 

 this is a great way to have your cards be flat for mailing yet have interest created by use of dies.  I kept mine simple.  I diecut the piece of white paper using the Spellbinders poinsettia die and the Sizzix swirl die.  I then cut those same shapes out of my colored paper.  After gluing the color pieces into the negative places in the white paper, I did add some additional poinsettia layers for some dimension. I added pen stitching around the outside of the card.  The end result is simple yet pretty.
