I found this magnet board by Carolee's Creations at my lss. I decided it would work great as a memo board/picture display in my kitchen. The board was actually meant to be used with the scallops along the bottom but I liked them at the top better. All the papers I used are from the My Mind's Eye Lost and Found collection. I painted the board black before I attached the papers using Mod Podge.
I made these flowers out of brown satin material and tulle. I cut the material into circles and then melted the edges slightly over a tea light candle so they would curl and look more like a rose. I cut the circles out at 2, 1.75, 1.5 and 1.25 inches. I used 2 of each size for each of the flowers. The gold beads in the centers of the flowers are from my Grandmother. She gave me all of her crafting supplies several years ago. I added some tulle and feathers as accents to finish off the flowers.
The birdcage was cut using the Sophie Cricut cartridge at 3 inches. I cut it out 3 times using very thick cardstock and layered the cuts for added dimension. The leaf corner was cut using the Storybook Cricut cartridge at 4.5 inches
I made the pleated flowers using stips of paper cut at 12x1.25 inches. I scored them every .25 inches and then fan folded them. The centers are fabic covered buttons that I found in my stash. I attached a small round magnet to the back of each pleated flower and the small scalloped circles so that I can use them to hold my memos and pictures.

Hi Julie, thank you for stopping by and leaving me a link to this post, (which just happened to be on my birthday, so how about that!) I can see why this would be one of your favorites. I've got the ugliest magnet board in the world. I don't know why i haven't dressed it up like you did yours, but now that you've given me the idea, we'll see about that.
