This week at Digi Doodle Shop's Challenges we are looking for cards that are "Clean and Simple" For me, that means less embellishments and more white space.
for my DT card I decided to use the Zinnias image from the Digi Doodle Shop. I kept the card simple by only using one piece of cardstock for background. I did emboss the ribbon using a cuttlebug embossing folder and the accent flower is from an artificial flower bouquet I found at Michaels.
Zinnias happen to be my favorite flower to plant in my flower beds. They are so easy to grow and need very little care from me, which is a good thing because I don't have a green thumb. I love to make flower arrangements with the flowers and they bloom all summer long and into to fall. My grandmother calls Zinnias Depression Flowers. She said that is all they could get to grow in the dry, dusty soil during the depression. She said that the seeds were cheap so that they could afford to buy them. she was surprised when I said they were my favorite garden flower. It's funny that all the reasons I love them are the reasons why she dislikes them.
We would love for you to join us in this challenge. Simply create a clean and simple card and link it up to the challenge blog for your chance to win a great prize from the Digi Doodle Shop.
