Anniversary Cards
I needed a couple of anniversary cards so I decided to make them without stamps.
I really like the way they turned out. I used a previous Mojo Monday sketch and soft colors. Since I waited til the last minute to make them, I needed the blue one fast. I had some extra time to add a little extra to the yellow card. The pink flower trim is from Michaels. The white lace is some my aunt gave me when she cleaned out her craft room.

Teen Birthday Card
Yesterday we celebrated my nephew's birthday. As you can see, he turned 18. Teen boy cards are so hard to make. I am sure he was more interested in what was in the cards instead of the cards themselves. I kept this one very simple and used his school colors.

Birthday Card for My Husband
Today is my husband's birthday. He shares the day with our nephew so we celebrated last night.
I took him to the Improv in KC to see Rocky Laporte. One of our favorite shows is Last Comic Standing and Rocky was one of the final comics last season. His show was hysterical! If you ever get a chance to see him, you need to go. We were lucky and had seats right next to the stage. Just be careful about drinking...I took a sip of my drink just as he delivered a very funny joke. Needless to say, I spewed my drink out my nose.
Anyway, now you know that my husband and I like comedy so I couldn't resist making him a funny birthday card. I changed things up a bit for this card. I kept the outside simple and added the image to the inside.
It made my husband laugh so I'd say the card was a success.

Fairy Tag
Happy Saturday! It's new release day at Scrapper's Delights. This is Flutterbye Fairy and you can find her HERE in the store.
I colored her up before I chose papers. Normally, I choose papers first and then color but I decided to color while I caught up on the shows I recorded while on vacation. I have to admit that at first, I really did not like how she looked after I colored her. I wasn't happy with the wings at all. But, I found this gorgeous double sided paper that worked perfectly and the glitter paint and stickles on her wings really made my color choices work.
The tag was made using the Decorative Labels 8 die from Spellbinders. I braided the ribbon for a little extra dimension.
I decided to bubble cut the fairy and the bubbles out. I attached her and the bubbles to the tag using pop dots so everything has a great 3 dimensional look.

Let It Snow!
The challenge this week at 52 CCT is to emboss on vellum. It's a pretty easy technique that yields beautiful results. I chose to use embossing powder for my card. I love the way the silver embossing looks on the vellum. My card is a twisted easel card with a tea light behind the vellum. You get a better view of the lighted tea light below.

Snowman Card
Wow, we are half way through July! Have you started your Christmas cards yet? If not, you should join us at 52 CCT. We have weekly Christmas card challenges so that you don't end up stressed trying to finish your cards during the holidays. I for one am looking forward to a stress free Christmas. Well, less stressful anyway. Because let's face it, crafters always find a project or two to complete at the last minute.
This week the challenge is snowmen. Pretty simple and if the weather is hot where you live, this will be a great chance to to think about cooler temps.

Jasmine Unicorn
Today's card is for a special young lady who will be 6 years old soon and starting kindergarten.
Have you thought about becoming a design team member for a challenge blog? If so, Aud Sentiments is having a Design Team call with our current challenge. Our challenges are biweekly so you only have to complete two projects a month. We have fabulous sponsors who often provide the dt members digital images to use for our sample projects. All types of projects are allowed for the challenge as long as they include a sentiment. Please check out the challenge blog for further information.
Our challenge this week at Aud Sentiments is sponsored by Scrapper's Delights. I have used Jasmine Unicorn from their store for my project. She is just adorable in pink!

True Gifts Of Christmas
This week at 52 CCT it's a color challenge. Just use kraft and your favorite Christmas colors. I chose to add white and green. I stamped snowflakes all over the kraft paper with white ink and then used clear embossing powder. Love the way they turned out. Pretty simple card but it will be easy to mail for the holidays and a little savings on postage adds up.

Panda Theme Pocket Letter
I am so excited to share with you my new project. Have you heard of Pocket Letters? What a fun way for crafters to have pen pals. I simply love this idea. If you would like to learn about pocket letters please check out the original creator HERE.
The new challenge at Aud Sentiments is sponsored by Imagine That by Kris. The theme for the challenge is to create a project with an animal and of course and appropriate sentiment. I used several items from their Panda set.
Here is the front of my pocket letter. This will be a birthday gift for my niece who loves Pandas. I put a pocket tag in the middle pocket. Inside will be a little note for my niece which lists several of my favorites such as song, book, etc
Items used:
Happy Birthday flag: La La Land
Pandas: Imagine That by Kris
Balloons, banner, candles, heart tag: Magnolia Doo Hickey Dies
Hearts: Spellbinders
I love Pandas: Imagine that by Kris
Pocket Tag: Tags, bags boxes and more Cricut cartridge
Martha Stewart border punch
Papers from Panda set used are the green and black plaid, panda foot prints
Here is the back side of the pocket letter. Since this is a gift for my niece, I decided to decorate all of the pockets instead of including little gifts in each. I did put another pocket tag in the middle pocket. This one holds a gift card so she can do a little shopping of her own. (Sorry for glare on one of pockets)
Items used:
Pandas from Imagine That by Kris
balloons, gifts, banner, label and bamboo dies from Magnolia Doo Hickey dies
Martha Stewart heart border punch
Martha Stewart butterfly punch
Have Beary Best Birthday sentiment from Panda set from Imagine That by Kris
I folded the pocket letter and tied it with some fun ribbons. Inside the envelope is a not for my niece explaining about pocket letters.
