Cruisin
Yesterday was my oldest son's 17th birthday! Where did all those years go? It seems like just yesterday we brought him home from the hospital. He has grown into quite the young man. He couldn't name even one thing he wanted for his birthday that was materialistic. He told me what he wanted was world peace. I told him I would get right on that! Anyway, this is the card that I made for him.

Altered Playstation Controller

This is my 15 year old son's project. He decided he wanted to paint his playstation controller. He took the controller apart and painted it black. He then cut out a few shapes in vinyl using my Cricut. He attached the vinyl pieces to the controller and used them like a mask since he wanted those images to remain black. Next he painted the entire controller blue. When dry, he splatter painted with black and then removed the vinyl. He did put a clear top coat over the entire controller. It is really cool despite the poor pictures. The only help he had from his mom was for me to show him where I kept the vinyl and to show him which Cricut cartridge had the image he was looking for.
Craft Us Crazy Challenge #2 Winter
For my project I decided to use one of the images from Meljen's to put inside a photo snow globe that my kids gave to me. Doesn't this penguin look perfect in the snow globe? I also made a card using the folded frame technique. It is very simple to do and you can find the directions over at Splitcoast Stampers.

We would love for you to join us in this challenge. Simply link up your project to the Craft Us Crazy Challenge Blog for your chance to win a fabulous prize from Meljen's Designs.

Chef Tilda
This card is for a good friend of mine who is celebrating her birthday. I just adore this Magnolia stamp. It is Chef Tilda. I used the sketch from The Sweet Stop challenge this week. I decided that Tilda needed to bake a birthday cake because who doesn't like cake on their birthday? (well me, actually. I would prefer a frosted sugar cookie!) The measuring cups, spoons and the word cake were all cut with my Cricut. I used the Martha Stewart drippy goo border punch because aren't the best cooks messy?

For My Favorite Nerd Valentine

This is the Valentine I made for my 16 year old son. He proudly calls himself a NERD. He says he doesn't understand why some people say the word like it's a bad thing. I am pretty proud of my son. He maintains a high grade point average as well as participates in the following activities: marching band, symphonic band, plays in a trombone trio, tennis team, academic team, NHS, Smokebusters group, is a mentor for freshmen students, tutors in the mornings, spanish club treasurer, lectors at church, youth group at church, and does volunteer work. Whew! I'm tired just typing all of that! Anyway, I couldn't resist making him a Valentine that celebrates his inner nerdiness. I saw the word NERD spelled out this way using the periodic table and couldn't resist incorporating it into his card. I am entering this card into the weekly challenge on the Cricut Circle blog.
Got The Love Bug?
This is the Valentine I made for my husband. I used the image Little Honey's Nurse from Sassy Studio Designs for this fun and sassy card.

Digi Doodle Shop's Best Challenge #45 Valentines
For my card I decided to do something a little different. There are lots of wonderful images at the Digi Doodle Shop that would be great for Valentines Day cards but I decided to use some of the word art that is available in the shop. This Bible verse is one of my favorites and is makes the perfect Valentine.
Inside of the card: I simply used a few of my scrap pieces to give the card a finished look.

Aud Sentiments Challenge #21 Corny Valentines
The challenge this week at Aud Sentiments is "Corny Valentines Quotes" We are being sponsored by Inktegrity for this challenge. They supplied the DT with some great images and sentiments to use for our Valentines. For my Valentine I decided to use Wally The Whale. I needed some simple yet fun Valentines for my daycare kids and this image was just perfect. I decided to use him as a paper piecing instead of coloring with my copics. The pattern paper has been in my stash for a very long time and is just perfect for this project. The kids are going to love the blue whale decorated with hearts and are going to be thrilled with their candy bars. We would love for you to join us in this challenge. All you need to do is make a Valentine using a corny quote and link it up to the Aud Sentiments challenge blog for your chance to win a great prize from Inktegrity.
