This shouldn't be too difficult since many of us are gearing up for the Christmas season. the winner will receive a $10 gift certificate to use at Digi Doodle Shop. For my card, I used the image, Christmas Heart from the Digi Doodle Shop. I first colored the candy canes with a red copic marder and then went over the red with a red Spica pen. The gold ribbon and scalloped circle were first colored with the E43 copic marker and then gone over again with the gold Spica pen. The card is a joy fold card. Bella Loves Christmas!

Isn't this a gorgeous digi image? It is Bella Loves Christmas from Mo's Digital Pencil. I have been wanting to use this image for a long time and finally had a chance to make a card with her today. The babbles on the card are from Hobby Lobby. They are actually ornaments for miniature Christmas trees. I think they made a great accent for this card. All the papers are from scenic route.

Card Details:

Gold Tilda

I just love a good challenge. They help me think of new color combos and card sketches. I still prefer a nice clean, uncluttered look to my cards though. This card was made for the Totally Tilda Challenge. The theme is glitz and gold. I used the Christmas Angel Tilda. For her gold headband, wings and stars I first colored them with the E43 Copic marker and then went over the top with the gold spica pen. Digi Doodle Shop's Best Challenge #34 Anything Goes

Time for another "Anything Goes" challenge at Digi Doodle Shop's Best. I chose the image "Turkey in Disquise" from the Digi Doodle Shop. I think this guy is so much fun. I figured for his disquise to work, he should bring a basket filled with lots of goodies. I hope that you join us in the challenge this week. One lucky winner will receive a $10 gift certificate to the Digi Doodle Shop.

Front of basket:
Back of Basket:
Side View:

The challenge is Black and White Christmas. All papers are to be black and white but other colors can be used on the image. I used the image Meet Me Under the Mistletoe from Karen's Doodles. Isn't this elephant cute? I tried to give her an elegant look as if she was giong to a Christmas party. I used black glitter paper for the ornament.

Pink and Yellow Tilda

The first challenge on the Magnolia-icious challenge blog is to create a card using the colors pink and yellow. This card was very challenging for me because even though I like those colors, I hardly ever use them together. Luckily, I found this paper in my stash and it works perfectly for this challenge. I used a gold Spica pen on the fairy dust but not sure it shows up in the picture.

Card Details:

Aud Sentiments Challenge #15 Happy Thanksgiving

It's my favorite day of the month again! Time for another fun challenge at Aud Sentiments. The theme for this challenge is "Happy Thanksgiving" or "Thanks". You must use one of those sentiments on your card. For the challenge this week we are being sponsored by Catherine Pooler. She is a Stampin Up demonstrator. She sent members of the design team fabulous papers and embellishments to use for our cards. She sent me the selection of papers I used on my card as well as the ribbon and brad. Even though I have a few stamps from Stampin Up I had never used their papers before this challenge. I have to say that I am very impressed! Not only are they beautiful, but the papers cut so easily with my trimmer and my Cricut. I had heard people say the paper "cuts like butter" and that is an accurate description of the papers.
Card Details:

Copics: R00, R20, E40, E41, E35, E08, E37, E33, YR23, E53

Your Next Stamp Challenge #29 YNS It!

I am so excited! I am a guest designer for the Your Next Stamp challenge blog. All of their stamps are just too cute and make wonderful projects. The challenge for this week is YNS It! I was given the assignment to use two of the following on my card: Yellow, Nesties and Stickles. I couldn't choose just two so I used all three!! Yellow happens to be my favorite color!
For my card I chose to use the stamp Windy Day Fiona. I decided that a shaker box would be a fun way to show her having some fun in the leaves. I added some Autumn Flower Soft in the shaker box to look like falling leaves. Behind the shaker box I used 2 cuts from the Dahlia Spellbinders nestibilities to make a scalloped circle.
Card Details:

Silver and White Christmas Tree

I love decorating for Christmas, especially Christmas trees. I put up 3 full size trees and several smaller trees throughout the house. Each tree has it's own theme. This is my newest tree. It is only 2 foot so it will be perfect sitting on top of the piano. All the ornaments are either Cricut or Cuttlebug cuts or decorated with Cricut cuts.
These glass ornaments were so easy and fun to decorate. I found the ornaments on sale at Hobby Lobby. They have a flat front and and back so it gives a great surface area for the decorations. I used silver and white vinyl.
Ornament Details:
Christmas Flower: Joys of the Season Cricut cart cut at 1.75 inches
Christmas Tree: Christmas Noel Cricut cart cut at 2 inches
Snowflake: Joys of the Season Cricut cart cut at 1.75 inches
Snowflake: When it Cold Outside Cricut cart cut at 1.75 inches
Holly: Christmas Cheer Cricut cartridge cut at 1.75 inches
Ornament: Christmas Noel Cricut cartridge cut at 1.75 inches
Bow on ornament: Christmas Noel Cricut cartridge cut at .75 inches
These ornaments are beautiful in real life. I had lots of the Martha Stewart glow in the dark glitter left over from Halloween so I decided to see what it would look like on these ornaments. They really do glow in the dark and look lovely on the tree.
Cut Details:
Ornament 1: Christmas Noel Cricut cart cut at 3.5 inches
Ornament 2: Christmas Noel Cricut cart cut at 4 inches
For these ornaments I cut and then embossed the silver ovals with the Cuttlebug. The green leaves are felt that I cut with the cuttlebug too.
Ornament details:
Silver Ovals: Cuttlebug cut and emboss die set
Poinsettia: Joys of the Season Cricut cart cut at 1.75 inches
Leaf: Leaf from the Cuttlegug Rose quilling kit

I am entering this Christmas tree into the monthly contest on the Cricut Circle blog. The challenge was to create a home decor item using the following criteria:
*Use at least one Cricut Cartridge cut
*Use the Cuttlebug in some way
*Use felt in some way
*Use the color Green somewhere on your project

For my card I added some Silver Ice stickles on the large snowflake and the poinsettia. I also added some Diamond dust around the snowman.

Digi Doodle Shop's Best Challenge #32 Fall For Me

It's time for another fun challenge at Digi Doodle Shop's Best. I was completely blown away with the number and talent of all the entries for last week's challenge. I hope that you all have as much fun with this challenge which is Fall For Me. Simply create a project about fall and link it us at Digi Doodle Shop's Best for your chance to win a $10 gift certificate to the Digi Doodle Shop. Here is my project the challenge.

I used the image It's All In The Fall. This reminds me of my two boys playing in the leaves. The card fold is a pattern from the July2010 Card Maker Magazine. The first picture shows how the card will look folded to fit in the envelope and the second picture shows how it will look standing up on display. To give this image a little texture and dimension, I added some autumn flower soft for the leaves on the ground.
Card Details:

Gingerbread Tilda

I just adore this new stamp from the Magnolia Fall Stamp Club. She is called Gingerbread Tilda. I already have lots of plans for her. I think she will make some great Christmas and valentine projects. I kept this card pretty simple in my embellishments since it needs to be mailed and I always worry about lots of embellishments traveling via the postal service. I did add two small rhinestones for her hair accessories though. I pulled out an older Mojo Monday sketch for this card. It is the sketch from week 113.
Card Details:
Scalloped Hearts: Spellbinders nestibilities dies
Copics: R27, R37, R46, R59, E40, E30, E41, E00, E53, E31, E33, E35, E37, E57
