Father's Day Cards

Father's Day cards I made for my dad and my husband.
Cards for guys are always a struggle. I love the way these cards turned out.
I found the pattern for these cards at Holiday Crafts and Creations.  You can get the template HERE.

These were quick and easy to make, just what I needed since I am still behind in my card making.
I chose to use a white gel pen for stitching instead of stitching with needle and thread.
I stuck a gift card in the pocket for my dad. It was just the perfect place to hold a gift card.

For my husband's card, I decided to do something a little different.  He always, always has a few peppermint candies tucked away in his shirt and jacket pockets.  Whenever we go out to eat and there are peppermints in a bowl by the cash register, he tucks a few away for later. He does the same at the bank.
I used the Very Merry Tags Cricut cartridge to make the peppermint candy.  I cut it at 2.75 inches and it was just the perfect size

The Elf Made Me Do It

This elf just makes me smile.
He looks like he could be a mischief maker.  I found this sentiment stamp that pairs up perfectly with the image.
I hope the recipient of this card gets smile out of it.

I made this card for the BINGO challenge at Aud Sentiments.
I chose to use the middle row with a 3D item, Digi image and markers

Loves Me, Loves Me Not, Loves Me

When I was a child I remember picking daisies and pulling the petals off and saying, "loves me, loves me not"  It was always fun. Especially if you said "loves me" while picking off the last petal.
this magnolia stamp pairs beautifully with the sentiment stamps from CTMH.

This is my DT card for Simply Magnolia.  The challenge this month at Simply Magnolia is Garden/Blooms.  I hope you join us and I can't wait to see your creations.

Lets Hang Out

As a child I think I was always climbing the monkey bars.  I'm sure I hung upside down just like this lots of times.  This image makes a fun card for a friend or a young person.  I haven't decided yet who will receive this one.  I think I will add it to my stash and send to a friend when she needs to be cheered up.

Sunshine and Friends

Today starts a new challenge at Aud Sentiments.  The theme is Summer + A Sentiment.  We are sponsored by Paper Nest Dolls.

I used this adorable Avery with ice cream cone and decided to make a scrapbook layout.  This will go in the scrapbook I am making for one of my daycare kids who will be going to kindergarten in the fall.  I always send them off with a scrapbook filled with memories of their time with me.
