This is another page in my faith journal.  This is my way to read and learn new scripture verses.  On the back I always include reflections or study points about the verse.
My mother suggested this verse to me, 1 Thessalonians 4:11  She said it was her aunt's favorite verse.  It pretty much describes me.

Shabby Chic Birthday Card

This is my DT project for Aud Sentiments.
We are sponsored by My Artistic Adventure
You can find her fabulous digital supplies on  Etsy.  I used her Pink Shabby Thank You/Birthday card sheet.  It included several sentiments, flowers, tag options and the papers.  A fabulous deal.  I added the bird cage from the Songbird Cricut cartridge.  I cut it out several times for depth and then used lots of shabby white embossing enamel.

Our Challenge theme is Bingo this time.  You can use any row or column for your project plus an appropriate sentiment.  I used the column on the right for my card.

Here is the inside of my card.  As you can see, there were plenty of items to use from this digital sheet to decorate the inside of the card as well.

Entered in the following challenges:
Creative Knockouts: Lots of layers

Have A Yummy Birthday

I made this card for a friend.  I love how the Magnolia stamps pair up perfectly with the die cuts from the Sweet Treats Cricut cartridge.  I used a little snow tex for the frosting coming out of the piping bag.  After it dried, I colored it lightly with my copics to match the color on the cake.  The Martha Stewart Drippy Goo border punch and some trim that looks like piped frosting were some great additions to this card.  I love the way it turned out.

21st Birthday

My oldest son just turned 21 a few days ago.  Where have those years gone?  I had a hard time trying to decide what kind of card to make him.  I didn't like the idea of making the card focused on drinking, even though he did enjoy his first "legal" drinks.  I found this sketch at Pals Paper Arts and decided to keep it would work perfect.  Nice and simple.

Stars: George cricut cartridge cut at 3 and 2.5 inces

Easter Card

It is time for a new challenge at Aud Sentiments.  The challenge theme is to use an Easter or Spring Sentiment.  I just adore this sweet Tilda.  I used the Cricut Easter cartridge to cut out an egg shape and then stamped her.  The decorative corner element is actually the heart doily die from La La Land.  I cut it down to fit in the corner.  I used some of the heart pieces along the top right and then on the inside as well.  Couldn't let all those confetti pieces go to waste.

Here is the inside of the card:

Card Details:
Stamp: Tilda with egg and chick from Magnolia Stamps
Heart Doily die from La La Land

Snowflake Card

The challenge this week at 52 Christmas Card Throw down is to follow the sketch.

I went to a Stampin Up card making party a year ago.
One of the cards we were to make was using the swing card die.  I cut the basic shape for the card, stamped the snowflake and cut the silver glitter paper behind the snowflake and had a strip of the pattern paper but never assembled the card.  I found it in my bin of unfinished projects while cleaning my craft room and realized it matched this sketch perfectly.  I had ordered some Stampin Up paper in December that just happened to match fairly close so I was able to complete the card with a few additions.  I added the die cut tag for the sentiment, the bling and the pattern paper with the silver dots. The snowflake gem is from the dollar spot.
Here is a pic of the card opened up.  I added a layer of silver card stock under the white so I have a place to add an additonal sentiment and sign the card.

Bee My Valentine

I dug out some of my older stamps for this card.  The bee is from Peachy Keen Stamps and the sentiment is from the dollar bin at Michaels.  The challenge at Scrapbooker Phd is to create a CAS card using a stamp.  It's funny how challenging CAS cards are for me.  When I started making cards almost 30 years ago my style was CAS even though I didn't know what that term meant.  I had to hold myself back while making this card because I wanted to add more pattern paper, diecuts and other embellishments. I did add some extreme glitter paint and stickles to the wings on the bee.
I hope you join us in this challenge. Will be fun to see how you interpret CAS.
