Witching Hour

I had fun with this image trying out a new hair color.  I didn't want the typical halloween purple so I tried some of my RV copics and was pleasantly surprised I had halloween paper in my stash that matched.
The image is from Rick St Dennis.  He offered it as a freebie through Kit and Clowder on facebook.

Flying By

Here is a quick and simple thank you card.  This is for my son and his two college roommates.  We went to visit them last weekend for parents day at Truman University.  They made a wonderful lunch for all of their parents.  It was fun to watch the 3 of them cook.  The meal was delicious and the best part was realizing we have raised a young man who can take care of himself.

You've Been Boo-zed

Opps.  This was supposed to post yesterday.  Got my dates mixed up when I wrote the post
The current challenge at ScrapbookerPhD is to create a project with a Halloween sentiment but it can't be Happy Halloween.  So let's see how creative you can be with halloween!

This project is for a friend for Halloween.  Why should the kids have all the fun?

While we were on vacation my husband and I discovered a cute little boutique winery owned by a couple of women.  They make all of their own wines and all of them are named after types of shoes.  How fun!  The bottle in the picture is Boogie Shoes.  We also came home with Buster Browns

I made the bottle tag using scrap paper.  Love it when I get a chance to use up my scraps!
I cute the vinyl images for the wine glasses using the Happy Hauntings Cricut cartridge.

Anniversary Card

I made this card for a friend.  She asked if I could make a card for her to give to a couple celebrating their 50th anniversary.  I decided to keep the card simple and did not use any stamps.  Instead, I used my Cricut and cut this couple out of the A Child's Year cartridge.  I cut it 3 times so that it would have some dimension.

Card Details:
Couple: A Child's Year Cricut cartridge

Dressed Up For Halloween

I love the background shapes I have been seeing on cards lately.
Unfortunately, I just have a cuttlebug and it isn't big enough for the background dies I would like to use.
So what does a crafty girl do?
She creates her own of course.

I played around with my Martha Stewart punch around the page border paper punches for this card.
I wanted to use the punches to create the shape for the card but I didn't like the sizes that were listed on the instructions so I changed it up a little
Here's what I did:
I started with a 6x6 piece of cardstock.
I punched all 4 corners with the corner punch.
Using the matching border punch, I punched along either side of the corners just once.
Here is a picture of what I ended up with:

I then trimed off the middle sections to look like the top.
Next I cut out 4 corner pieces on some scrap pieces of matching paper
and then attached them to the middle sections as pictured below

If you don't want to cut and attach the corner pieces to the middle like I did, you can punch the middle sections first before doing the corners.  I tried but found it difficult to line up the punches so I chose the easier method for me.
After I had my background punched, I ended up with a 5x5 section in the middle which is a perfect size for embellishing.

I plan to play around with other sizes so I can match of the middles a little better.  Can't wait to see what I can do with my other Martha Stewart paper punches

Yummy Ice Cream

The name of this digi image from The Paper Shelter is Not Big Enough.  That's  exactly what my husband says everytime we go to Aspen Leaf for frozen yogurt.  I used the papers from the Cherry Limeade stack from DCWV.  I love the pink with white polka dots so I colored her dress to match.  Of course, I had to color the ice cream all my favorite kinds, pistachio, chocolate, strawberry and vanilla.

Baby Boy Card

I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of a friend's baby.  Can't wait to meet the little guy!
I love cards with clean lines and the sketch from Sketch and Stash this time is just perfect.  I did add the banner to the top for a little extra embellishment though (It may or may not be covering a stray drop of blue from my copics.  Shhh nobody really needs to know)
The challenge at Cosmic Strawberry was to use the color combo pictured below.  I love the blues and tans together for a baby boy.
