Princess

The weather here in Missouri is gearing up for more snow and maybe some ice.  Depending on which news cast we watch, we may get from 1-20 inches.  It seems they are having a hard time trying to decide what this storm will do.  I am hoping it's closer to the one inch but I did go to the store and stock up on groceries and crafting supplies so that we can get snowed in for several days.
This is my dt card for Totally Paper Crafts.  The challenge is to Make It Shine
After coloring the image with copics, I painted her crown and dress with extreme glitter paint and added some sparkly hearts and accents for the shine.

Summer Dreamin

The new challenge at Aud Sentiments is to create a project using Any Sentiment For A Girl.
We are sponsored by The Paper Shelter
Winter has been rather long and cold here in Missouri.  The weather man stated  we are expecting more snow over the weekend.  I usually love snow but I am ready for some warmer temps and to start wearing my flip flops again.
After coloring this little darling with copics, I added real sand to the card for some texture.

Make A Wish

Saturday is my Grandma's 94th birthday!
She is an amazing woman who still lives in her own home.
I hope I am living as well as her when I am her age.

I apologize for the sorry looking pictures.  My camera isn't working properly.  I am hoping is just needs new batteries but I am afraid the problem isn't that simple.

Anyway, this is the card I made for my Grandma.  It's a hinged card using my spellbinders dies.
I found these beautiful ribbon and lace trims at Michael's in what used to be the $1 spot but now is really the $1.50-$2 spot.

Here's the inside of the card: (again, I apologize for the pics)

This is the Valentine I made for my son's girl friend.
I didn't use the typical pinks and reds for this because her favorite color is teal.
Teal is one of my favorite colors too.
After coloring with copics, I added stickles to the rose and used shabby white embossing enamel around the image.
I hope she likes it!

Hugs and Kisses

Today's card is my dt card for Totally Paper Crafts.  The challenge theme is Love/Valentines.
I made this card for a special young lady.  She is 4 years old and reminds me of the little girl in this digi stamp from Wee Stamps.
I created another corner sentiment for this card.  Using the Base Camp Cricut cartridge and Cricut Craft Room, it was super simple to make this sentiment.
I added glitter to the shoes because all young ladies these days where glittery shoes.
After coloring with copics, I painted the wings with extreme glitter paint

Minnion Valentine

I needed a valentine for my nephew so I did a search for free coloring pages and found this adorable Minnion.  Just perfect for my nephew!  I have to admit, I have not seen the movies so I hope I have colored him up correctly.
I created the heart border in Cricut Craft Room using the Base Camp cartridge.
Since this valentine is for my nephew, I decided to keep away from the typical  pinks, reds and purples associated with valentines day.   I hope he likes it.

Heart Throb

Here's a simple valentine for someone special.
I just love this little guy.  He reminds me of my youngest son when he was in grade school.

For Christmas my hubby gave me a Happy Birthday die that has the words wrapped on a corner.
I absolutely love it.  It came from Die Versions.  I have searched through all of their corner sentiment dies and couldn't find one for valentines day that I just loved as much as the Happy Birthday one.
The other day I had an "A Ha" moment and decided to try and make my own corner sentiment using the Cricut Craft Room.  It was so easy to do that I didn't just stop at this one.  I have created so many corner sentiments that I am not sure I will be able to make enough cards to use them.  Anyway, this "Heart Throb" corner sentiment was one of the first I made. So simple, yet a great way to add a sentiment to my cards and scrapbook pages.
To go along with the "Heart Throb" sentiment I stitched a heart rhythm along the bottom.

Ladybug Tilda

This is a pretty simple card but I love the way it turned out.
Ladybug Tilda is one of my favorites from Magnolia Stamps.
Since the design is pretty simple, I carried it through to the inside of the card as well and I still have plenty of room to write a message to the recipient.
To keep the inside of the card somewhat flat, I used the punched hearts from the banner to help embellish the floral spray.

Card Details:
Stamp: Ladybug Tilda from Magnolia Stamps
La La Land banner die

Valentine

We are gearing up for a big snowstorm here in Missouri.  Depending on which weather person we listen to the total snowfall is supposed to be somewhere between 4-9+ inches.  I am sure that means we will have at least one snow day out of school.  I would love to spend that time in my craft room but I think I will probably be working on taxes....Yuck!

Today's card is a Valentine.  I just couldn't face the tax job today so when I had some free time, I made this card instead.  It went together quickly.  I guess that is what happens when you don't have to color clothing...lol!
After coloring with copics, I painted the wings and bow with extreme glitter paint.  I added a touch of stickles as well to the wings.

Card Details:
