Dare To Be Sassy Thursday Monthly Holiday Challenge

It's time to get sassy again at Sassy Studio Designs.  This week the challenge is to create a Christmas card using your favorite Christmas song as inspiration.    It was so hard for me to choose just one song since I love ALL Christmas music.  In fact, I can't wait for the holiday music station to start again on XM radio.  Since I had to choose only one, I decided to go with Rockin Around The Christmas Tree.  I chose Sock Hop Sweetie even though she isn't a Christmas image she was perfect for this song.  I hope you join us in this challenge.  It is never too early to start making Christmas cards.
Card Details:

Scalloped Circle:  Cricut Cake logo from Everyday Cricut cartridge
Music notes:  Quarter Note Cricut cartridge
Christmas tree:  Joys of the Season Cricut cartridge

Aud Sentiments Challenge 62 Christmas

Aud Sentiments has another great challenge.  The theme is to use a Christmas or Winter sentiment.  Just in time to help us get started on our Christmas cards.  For my sentiment, I decided to try something different.  The pattern paper I used has the sentiment "Let it Snow" written on it over and over again and that is just perfect for this melting snowman.
I used the sketch from Seems A Little Sketchy.

We would love to have you join us in the challenge.  Simply create a project following the Sentiment Theme and link it up to Aud Sentiments for your chance to win a prize from Robyn's Fetish

I have entered this in to the following challenges:

Pretty Purple Bracelet

I have a new project to share today and it doesn't involve paper!
I made this bracelet using memory wire.  These bracelets are so easy to make and I love the fact that I don't have to worry about trying to work a clasp when I am wearing it.
My lovely "hand model" is Alayna, one of my daycare kids.  She was so excited to be my model for my blog and she said my bracelet is beautiful!  I think a similar bracelet will be ending up in her Christmas package this year.

Vicious Villains Blog Hop

I am so excited!  We can finally show you all of our projects created with the Vicious Villains from Sassy Studio Designs.  If you got here from Sara's blog, you are on the right track for the hop.  If not, please start at the Sassy Studio Designs Challenge Blog.

My card was made using The Queen of Hearts
Isn't she just wickedly beautiful?

The sentiment on my card is what she said to Alice, "Sentence first! Verdict Afterwards."
I opted for a black rose on my card since she was mad someone painted her roses red.  I figure black suits her better.

As part of the hop, we are to share our favorite Disney movie.  I had a difficult time choosing just one.  I really love them all.  So since I have to choose just one, I pick...
Beauty and the Beast because Belle loves to read.

If you are curious and want to see a list of all of the Disney movies ever made you can find them HERE.  Included in the list is all the movies that will be coming out in the next few years so we have something to look forward to...

You next stop on the hop is

Don't forget to leave me a comment and let me know what you think of my Queen of Hearts.

Christmas Angel

I am dreadfully behind on making my Christmas cards this year.  I know it is only August but I have lots to make and I enjoy making a variety.
The Christmas Challenges blog has a great sketch for their current challenge so I decided to give it a try.  they also have a twist for the sketch.  The cards must be blue and white with snowflakes.
Blue is a real challenge for me.  For some reason I have a hard time matching papers and I just never like how my coloring turns out when I use my blue copics.

Sneak Peak of Sassy Studio Designs New Release

Sassy Studio Designs will have several new images in the store tomorrow.
I have a little sneak peak of a project I made with one of the new images.
The only hint I can give you is that they are all just a little wicked!

Can you guess the name of the person in my sneak peak?  If you have an idea of who it might be, leave me a comment.  There are a few clues in my little sneak peak.

Don't forget to join us for the new release party.  You may just win some of the new images.

Dare to be Sassy Thursday

The Dare to be Sassy Thursday challenge this week is to finish the inside of the card.
For my card I decided to make a Halloween window card.
I used the window from the Christmas Noel Cricut cartridge and layered it for some dimension.
I cut up a sheet protector and  placed between the layers to look like window glass. I decorated the window using the Martha Stewart branch punch and a leaf paper punch.  The bats are from the Happy Hauntings Cricut cartridge

 Inside of card:
Cat:  Animal Kingdom Cricut cartridge
Trick or Treat:  Happy Hauntings Cricut cartridge
Cauldron:  Happy Hauntings Cricut cartridge

The challenge this week at Digi Doodle Shop's Best is to use pearls.  I needed a birthday card for my mom and this challenge theme is perfect.   The  image is Glass of Wine from the Digi Doodle Shop.  When I first saw this image I just knew I would need to color the hat red and make her look like a very young member of the Red Hat Society.

My Birthday Candy Winners

It is time to announce the winners of my Birthday Candy!
First, I would like to thank everyone for the birthday wishes.  My birthday was memorable.
We were on vacation and spent the day in Gettysburg, PA.  So much history in one little place.  The rest of the day wasn't that great.  I chipped my tooth and twisted my ankle in two separate incidences.  I told my guys that I want a birthday do-over.  I think I will have to celebrate my half birthday this year.  Anyway, it was great to come home and read the birthday wishes and the funny sentiments that people left for me.  I did laugh and had a hard time choosing which one made me laugh the most.
Anyway, I am sure you are all ready to hear the winners so without further ado....

The winner of the candy package is....

#14 Robin

Congrats Robin!  Please email me with your address so I can send you your candy!

The person who made me laugh the most and the winner of the gift certificates to two of my favorite digi stamp companies is...

Starla with the following funny sentiment:

Front: "I just want you to know that the ONLY people I send birthday cards to are attractive, intelligent and incredibly sexy people..."
Inside: "Merry Christmas!". LOL Have a very happy birthday!!

Congrats Starla!
I had originally planned to give gift certificates to The Digi Doodle Shop and Sassy Studio Designs since those are my top two digi stamp companies but Starla is on the design team for both of those companies with me so I chose my next two favorities.  I hope you enjoy the companies I chose.  You will receive gift certificates to

Mo's Digital Pencil

and

Bugaboo Stamps

Congrats Starla!  Please email me so I can get your gift certificates to you.

Thanks again for all my birthday wishes!!

New Sketch by Carly

Carly has another fabulous sketch for us.
I did something a little different for my project.  I decided to make the sentiment be the focus of the card.
I also went a little gender neutral for the card.  Two of  my daycare moms are expecting and one knows the gender of the child but isn't telling and the other wants to be surprised.  As for me, I am just looking forward to holding two new precious bundles of joy!!

 Here is the inside:
Carly's sketch:

I hope you join us in this challenge.   Carly's sketch would be perfect for so many different types of cards.  I can't wait to see what you create.
One lucky winner will receive 3 new digi images from Sweet and Sassy Stamps

I made this as a gift for one of my sorority sisters.  I don't think I have shared it yet on my blog.
I bought the frame at Michaels and removed everything but the glass.
I cut out the letters using the Base Camp Cricut cartridge and the word family from the Home Accents Cricut cartridge out of vinyl.

Carly has a great challenge for everyone this week.
You get to pick which of her sketches you want to use for the challenge.

I turned sketch #5 into an easel card using the circle card from the Wild Card Cricut cartridge.

I often like to decorate the envelope as well.  Since I was giving this
